NuPoint Messenger IP Voicemail, is a state-of-the-art, next generation Unified Messaging system. This platform offers the popular, resilient, and fully-featured voice messaging applications from its Centigram roots, while introducing exciting new integration options, improved processing capabilities, and comes on industry-standard hardware with a Linux operating system. Release 12.0 now available of the IP640 high-capacity voicemail platform. A list of the main features of this release is detailed later in this section. NuPoint IP 640 – Carrier grade (with 99.999% reliability), dual server platform (2GB RAM, two 3GHz XEON CPUs, 2 internal drives, 2 power supplies, 2 NICs, 2 fans) with external RAID 5 disk array. Supports up to 480 ports (DNIC/DSE, Analog/SMDI, T1/SMDI or T1/MSDN, 3300 IP). Servers are now available in Active/Active as well as Active/Passive configuration. NuPoint IP640E - Single server, Raid 5 version of the above. Supports up to 120 ports. NuPoint IP Standard Edition - Single server platform supports up to 120 ports (DNIC/DSE, Analog/SMDI, T1/SMDI or T1/MSDN, 3300IP) Open Standard Architecture - A Linux operating system coupled with high peformance servers with Raid 5 or NAS (Network Attached Storage) on a SIP platform. NuPoint Messenger IP System Capacities: Web based Administrator User interface Three Options of Unified Messaging: UM Standard + MWI (WebView) – System-wide option that allows users to access and manage their voice messages directly off the NuPoint Messenger using their telephone, Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, or Lotus Notes R5 and R6/6.5 or standard web browser. This implementation ensures simplified message management by maintaining accurate message waiting indication (MWI) – no matter where or how voice messages are accessed, read and delete marks are accurate. In addition to enabling the system-wide option, session licenses are required for concurrent access to the NuPoint Messenger message store. Addition of Call Me/Meet Me to allow users to direct message playback to their telephone; allow users to define their user preferences; allow users to record greetings; allow users to setup distribution lists; allow users to define their SMTP email address (where saved messages will appear). Advanced Unified Messaging - Provides access to all messages (e-mail, voice mail, fax, and RAC) and the Web View from the user's Microsoft Outlook e-mail client and the TUI, with MWI synchronization for voice mail and message status synchronization for email. Access to e-mail via the TUI is enabled by integration with Microsoft Outlook and Exchange Server and text-to-speech technology. Networking - VPIM (V2), AMIS, and the proprietary NP Net TCP/IP (Centigram/BayPoint/NuPoint) networking protocols are supported. Corporate & Personal Call Direct – The replacement for NP Agent is available in two modules - Corporate Call Flow (Auto Attendant) and Personal Voice Menus. SMS Notification via SMTP - SMS Notification allows users to receive text messages to their cellular phone when they receive a new voice message. This is valuable to both office-based workers was well as mobile employees who need to know when they have received new messages and from whom, without necessarily receiving a notification phone call which could be disturbing. At this time, SMS notification is licensed via the Standard UM option (system-wide). Trade-in and Upgrade Options: SmartMove Program provides discounts based upon return of the 5.X, 6.X, or 7.0 systems. Older system upgrade conversions are available from CommuniTech Services for Release 5.04C, 6.0D, 6.1B systems. System Integrations: Multiple Simultaneous PBX Integration Support - For larger customers that have muliple PBXs in their environment., NuPoint Messenger IP can support up to 24 PBXs. Digital Integrations include: Nortel Meridian, SL-1, Option 11, 21, 21A, 51, 61, 71 and 81, Norstar, Succession 4.5, Siemens (OptiSet), HiCom 300E, Avaya Definity G3, Avaya S8700, Merlin Magix, NEC 2400 IMG and IMX Enhanced SMDI (ESMDI) Integration - integration to up to 24 different PBXs including Cisco via Analog/SMDI or T1/E1/SMDI.
